What is Anarchy Rules?
The Anarchy Rules project uncovers the multiple ways in which anarchists develop rules and decision making procedures in order to constrain and enable power – in other words, how anarchists constitutionalise.
This two year project was funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council in 2016, under its ‘Transformative Social Science’ funding call (ES/N006860/1).
The project has resulted in a number of publications, which you can find archived here, and has had significant impact beyond the academy.
This website is a repository of the data we collected, the publications that present our findings, and testimony from those who have found the research to be valuable to them.
For a longer explanation of the origins of anarchist constitutionalising see our ‘Anarchism and Non-Domination’ (2019)
